Hello Sisters, I am a bit late in posting my Rush, but our internet was down for a day and a half. I am so excited to see what everyone made with their image. I decided to make a wall hanging with my image. I used flowers, old and new, bling, ribbon, tule, old magazine print, glass glitter and vintage earrings. I printed the image out on fabric, liked that look better than paper. So fun to be a part of a great group of ladies.
And little old me with my project. Pardon the lack of makeup and it looks like lack of sleep, lol, I was a little frustrated with the internet going down right when I was ready to post! Just love technology. :O)

I am participating in Karen Valentine's Where Bloggers Create II - Here is my creative space story:
My creative space took close to three years to come into fruition. But when I sit down and think of it, it probably has taken all of my life really.
When I was small, I would often watch my Mother create. She created at a table in the garage, her sewing table in the house, or on the dinning room table. She could create something from nothing. I would stand in awe of her ability to take this and that and make something useful or just for fun. My mother and I share the same birthday and first name and it was only obvious that we would share the same passion for crafting. From childhood, I longed for my own space to craft.
In 2009 I got my wish for the exact space I had always dreamed of. I am now the proud owner of my very own artist studio in my back yard. During the day at my full time office job, I dream of the moments when I can be home creating in my studio. When I am in my studio, I feel a million miles away from everything. I feel the gentle breeze from the open windows, I hear the birds playful chatter at their feeder just outside my patio door and the beautiful song of the running fountain nearby.
I starting crafting as a tole painter, which turned into t-shirt painting and then turned into scrapbooking. Scrapbooking is sometimes taken over by beading and jewelry making, which is sometimes taken over by altered arts of some sort. I never get bored, because my crafting is always changing with whatever swap I am preparing for, or event of classes I am just about to go to or have been from. I never heard of a craft I didn’t like and I hope that I never will.
It took me a year after I moved into my studio to even get close to getting my supplies in some sort of order and it changes from month to month, depending on what I just purchased, working on or getting rid of. It’s a process I thoroughly love.
I feel so blessed to have a place of my very own. It’s heaven on earth.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my creative space, as much as I loved showing it to you! Terry

I just sent off today my 3x3 squares for the Le Sirene Wall Hanging Swap Hosted by the lovely and very talented Joy Campbell for Kim Caldwell's event in July. I have never done a swap like this, so I hope I did okay. Sometimes you are not sure if you have done too much or not enough. I took three different fabrics and sandwiched a mermaid picture in between them. Embellished with gel pens, glitter glue and jewels. Added Midori ribbon and a tiny sea shell. Now I have three more swaps too go!

I am horrible at computers and seem not to be able to figure out a darn thing on my blog. The only thing I can do is barely post a few words and a picture. And sometimes I get that messed up. LOL! I am creative, not good at computers. So until I can figure out how to add this link to my blog, I will post a post about "Bloggerette Sorority" hosted by the lovely Karen DeCapite, (Somedaysarediamonds blogspot). Come join the fun with other like minded creative women! ;o)
